 Gopal (A Pure soul) was living LIFE WORST THAN ANIMALS AS A SLAVE for 35-40 years!!

 

I have no crystal ball. I do, however, have a method that has served me well, in understanding the past and anticipating the future. This is the true story of Gopal Sharma, a slave for over 42 years, who was denied his ancestral property by his own brothers as he was a mentally retarted child. 
            It was in 1975, a mentally challenged boy of above 15 years of age, was sent to an orphanage in Jalandhar  (PS) by his own brothers after the death of their parents, so that they don’t have to part with Gopal’s share in assets. Gopal stayed in Orphanage for about two years, making envelopes to earn livelihood. It’s not clear how he reached the Golden Temple in Amritsar; maybe he was thrown-out by the orphanage or moved out by choice. At the Golden Temple one floor mill owner S. Mukhtiar Singh and his pregnant wife, reached to pay obeisance at the temple, found a small boy shivering and got a cup of tea from S. Mukhtiar Singh. He found the boy (Gopal) to be fabral, Shy and Smiling. Who could eventually convince him to take along to his home. This way a free servant arrived at his home. 
             It was in 2018, S. Gurpreet Singh got a call from Dist. Moga that a slave is there in a flour mill leading a very pathetic life, working around the clock on mere food, lots of threshing being met when got delayed in fields while bringing green grass for the animals. S. Gurpreet Singh got there with the team to find Gopal, a slave 4.5 feet height, disfigured shape of fingers and feet. He was living along with animals in cowshed and had to sleep on fodder with very dirty cloths barely changed. Somehow he was freed by the pressure of team members & the public. This way Gopal reached Manukhta Di Sewa Family.
              Now another chapter started with the efforts of Mr. Ashwin, our team member, his family was located, with the help of google map, police force and Social media. He belonged to Indore. His family was located, his one brother had expired in these years, the other brother denied to recognise and speak about the 45 years old story of Gopal and the refused to accept him (Gopal) on a brother. Somehow we got a mobile number of his only sister Manda, to whom we could speak & she recognised Gopal, told us that the two brothers did not tell her about Gopal being sent to an orphanage. She visited twice with her husband and stayed with MDS Family for two days each time and then asked us not to call her as she cannot visit again.
               This is the story of Gopal, who is having orra of a divine soul. I have two questions in mind to ask the society: Is it the age of forgain rulers when people were kept as slaves, is it not for what, we got Independence for the sacrifice of many. The second question is for the ones who denied him family, a share in family assets for he is mentally challenged. 
                 How much do we need to lead a healthy life? Is it not a few bucks to lead a healthy and social life? For whom do we accumulate, Is it again for someone again to be deprived of the weak of his right to property and enslave somebody more. How long will it continue? Is there no end to such evil? Was it whatever Gurus Taught us? Kindly contemplate and comment. It’s not only Gopal, gentlemen there are thousands more in Punjab alone. Kindly see for no other Gopal ia kept as a slave in your neighbourhood, please do your best to improve their life.
