It’s a matter of pride that real service to humanity started at Manukhta Di Sewa with the advent of a very pure soul in the guise of Bapu Kesar Singh Dhaliwal, having maggots in his leg and a mentally challenged. Before I pen down the story, let me take a privilege to introduce the other face of punjab; Which was once the precursor of Green Revolution. Now this is the state from where around 60 percent of illicit liquor & drugs are confiscated every year in India. More than 70% of youth (future of India) is into drug abuse. The result is lots of crime and other types of abuse. At the back of it is the political Mafia in the state.
Few days after we received a video & call from somebody about the condition of Bapu Kesar Singh, mentally challenged lying in a bus stop at village Chonkiman, S. Gurpreet Singh Mintu Malwa & his only friend Virender Singh Grewal went to the village to hand over some money to somebody or a Sarpanch of the village for the treatment of the old. Since nobody seemed to be interested as they were making mockery of S. Kesar Singh we decided to bring him to our eating point that is a Dhaba at Doraha G.T. Road Ludhiana.
Bapu Kesar Singh Dhaliwal one of the eight brothers of an affluent family of Chaukiman village. Owner of 8 acres of land, having two sons, one overseas and other into drug abuse. Bapu Kesar too was forced to consume drugs. After he was picked up at the Dhaba, eventually he was taken to a drugstore for the bandage late that night . The next day he was taken to DMC Hospital, where the doctors declared to amputate his leg & asked to sign the consent letter. Since we were none of his relatives, nor wanted to amputate his leg. So we took him back to a hakim who suggested sprinkle mineral turpentine oil on the wound to clean & remove maggots. First day we took out 42 maggots from the wound, which was a strange experience since we had never seen maggots before. This way healing started and eventually saved his leg.
Thereafter we took him to Deepak Hospital Sarabha Nagar Ludhiana for psychiatric treatment and got him admitted, for one month. With the grace of God Bapu Dhaliwal recovered fast. Since we were planning to shift to Hassanpur, It was Sardar Kesar Singh Dhaliwal who along with Anuj Shukla laid the first stone of the Building.
Since then we have shifted to our dream house at Hasanpur, Bapu Kesar staying with us as a senior member of the family. In the meanwhile his land was sold out by his nephew from time to time. Even his house which was 1000 square yard has been reduced to just 100 square yards, that too only walls and roof. Most recently a tragedy occured that his addicted son scummed to overdose of drugs.
Gentlemen, if you see the aura of Kesar Singh it's that of a noble soul. We wish him good health & long life. Your emotional support and wishes are needed to serve many more old, underprivileged, mentally, physically and emotionally challenged persons like S. Kesar Singh Dhariwal. Kindly see that nobody in your neighbourhood dies without medicine, physically financial and emotional support.

ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸਲੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਬਾਪੂ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੋਈ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰੂਹ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੀੜੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਦਿਮਾਗੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਲਿਖਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਮੇ ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ 60% ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਫੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 70% ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ (ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ )ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਜੁਰਮ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਫੈਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਇਸ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਮਾਫੀਆ ਹੈ।
ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਆਈ ਬਾਪੂ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਿਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਹਾਲਤ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਚੌਂਕੀਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੱਸ ਸਟੌਪ ਤੇ ਪਏ ਸੀ , ਸ. ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿੰਟੂ ਮਾਲਵਾ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਗਏ ਪੈਸੇ ਫੜਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਰਪੰਚ ਨੂੰ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਲਈ। ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਲੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨਹੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਕਿਓਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਜੀ ਟੀ ਰੋਡ ਦੋਰਾਹੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਤਿਥ ਢਾਬੇ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਚੱਲੀਏ।
ਬਾਪੂ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ 8 ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਿਡ ਚੌਂਕੀਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਖਾਨਦਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ। 8 ਕਿੱਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ,ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਆਦਿ ਸੀ। ਬਾਪੂ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਢਾਬੇ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ,ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਬਾਪੂ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਗਏ। ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੀ. ਐਮ. ਸੀ. ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ,ਜਿਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਲੱਤ ਵੱਢੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਦਸਤਖ਼ਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਲੱਤ ਵੀ ਵਢਾਉਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹਕੀਮ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜਖਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਾਰਪੀਨ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਛਿੜਕਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ,ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਖਮ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਕੀੜੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਸੀਂ 42 ਕੀੜੇ ਜਖਮ ਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਅਜੀਬ ਤਜੁਰਬਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖੇ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਜਖਮ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਹੋਈ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੱਤ ਬਚ ਗਈ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਪਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਸਰਾਭਾ ਨਗਰ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਦਿਮਾਗੀ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲਈ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਬਾਪੂ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਛੇਤੀ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਸਨਪੁਰ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਸ. ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਅਨੁਜ ਸ਼ੁਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹਸਨਪੁਰ ਆ ਗਏ ,ਬਾਪੂ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਦੱਸ ਦੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਭਤੀਜੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੇਚੀ ਗਈ। ਇਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਜੋ 1000 ਵਰਗ ਗਜ ਸੀ ਘਟ ਕੇ 100 ਵਰਗ ਗਜ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ,ਉਹ ਵੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਕੰਧ ਤੇ ਛੱਤ । ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾ ਘਟੀ ਕੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਮਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਮ ਤੋੜ ਗਿਆ।
ਸੱਜਣੋ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਆਭਾ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਕ ਰੂਹ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ ਤੇ ਲੰਬੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ,ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਤੇ ਦੁਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ,ਪਿਛੜੇ ,ਦਿਮਾਗੀ,ਸ਼ਰੀਰਿਕ ਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਚਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਨਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਿਵੇ ਕਿ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕੇਸਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ। ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਗੁਆਂਢ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਨਾ ਦਵਾਈ , ਵਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਾ ਮਰੇ।
