By the Grace of Waheguru Ji, on May 2, 2026, the Manukhta di Sewa Parivar received the opportunity to serve Bapu Swaran Singh Ji (son of Gyan Chand Ji) from Village Gajjapura, Tehsil Sri Anandpur Sahib, District Ropar.
For the past 22 years, Bapu Ji had been living a life worse than hell in a dilapidated house. The surroundings were overgrown with wild hemp plants, which he would break down just to clear a space for his bed. His mental health had severely deteriorated; he was living without clothes, and his bedding, soiled with excrement, was infested with maggots.
Villagers shared that about 2–3 years ago, a reckless individual hit Bapu Ji with a motorcycle, resulting in a broken hip. Since then, he became unable to walk and was forced to endure this agony while confined to a single spot. At present, Bapu Ji’s condition had worsened to the point where he lost all self-awareness. For years, his only diet consisted of gram flour (besan) mixed with jaggery and red chilies; he refused to eat anything else.
Remarkably, Bapu Ji was once a JCB machine driver and is educated up to the 10th grade. At the scene, the pain and helplessness in his sister’s eyes were clearly visible. The Manukhta Sewa Parivar has now brought Bapu Ji to "Supneyan Da Ghar" (House of Dreams), where his care and medical treatment have begun.
We request the entire Sangat to pray for Bapu Ji’s recovery so that he may soon lead a dignified and healthy life once again.
