Avtar Lal, Usha Rani, Sargun Kaur

23, April 2026

By the grace of Waheguru, on 23-04-2026, the Manukhta Di Sewa family got the opportunity to serve Veer Avtar Lal, his wife Usha Rani, and their 9-year-old daughter Sargun Kaur from Village Mehsampura, District Jalandhar.
Once a happy and settled family, they have been living in extremely difficult conditions for the past year. Veer Avtar Lal suddenly suffered a paralytic stroke, due to which he has been bedridden for nearly a year. His wife, who was already mentally vulnerable, became even more disturbed after seeing her husband’s condition. Her hair was severely matted with lice infestation, forming large tangled clumps. Avtar Lal’s condition was also very poor—his clothes were dirty, torn, and worn out.
Despite all these hardships, their innocent 9-year-old daughter, who studies in the 4th grade, has been taking care of both her parents. When we spoke to the little girl, she said, “I want to become a doctor when I grow up so that I can take care of my parents.” This dream has arisen out of her circumstances, as she has seen her parents suffer without proper medical treatment due to poverty.
Now, this entire family has been brought to Supnian De Ghar (Dream Home). Let us pray that by staying here, they recover soon and are able to return to their home in the future and live a better life.
